What Possessed Us To Open Wine?

We got in the car when it was 20 degrees and set out to have a glass of wine at a great venue that was CLOSED. Then realized we had this great wine at home already where the fire is already going and it is toasty warm. Good trade.

 

What Did The Label Want Us To Know?

It talks about chalky soils and limestone. There is a description of their wine making process that includes maceration and French oaking which explains the bite, I think. They use the words rich, ripe and spicy.

 

What’s So Great About It?

My new favorite wines are from Spain and this one is a Monastrell, which people smarter than I am have told me is the same as Mouvedre. Dark with a punch. I love this wine!!
